For the plural in Turkish we have the following cases:
1. Words with their last vowel to be (a, ı, o, u)
We add the ending -lar as in the following examples:
çatal (fork) -----> çatallar
şarkı (song) -----> şarkılar
kol (hand) -----> kollar
kılavuz (tourist map) -----> kılavuzlar
2. Words with their last vowel to be (e, i, ö, ü)
We add the ending -ler as in the following examples:
öğretmen (professor) -----> öğretmenler
iş (job) -----> işler
köy (village) -----> köyler
gün (day) -----> günler
