It was a long way to take,
She walked with her smile on,
She knew she can do it,
She believed she’ll face something wrong,
Roads were long and full of thorns,
She walked here and there,
Pain was running through her vein,
But she didn’t really care,
You see her every time,
With her face cherry & bright,
She always had a positive attitude,
And a big heart full of light,
The girl went home,
And the smile was g,
There was no need to pretend,
That nothing was wrong,
She lied on her bed,
And then started to cry,
For behind the smile,
That girl wanted to die,
Sometimes the pain seemed almost g,
And the happiness she can nearly feel,
But those times were few & far between,
And she knew the smile was never real,
So when you see a smile,
Know that it’s just for show,
For what lies behind it,
Is a girl you’ll never know
